Goals and Symptoms
A new setup register has been added to the clock module on the 8600. This register is named Use GPS Quality Flag. It has two settings, Use Flag and Ignore Flag.
Previous versions of firmware which were setup to synchronize to a GPS time source would only do so if the GPS was locked to a satellite source. If the source became unlocked, the meter would stop accepting time synchs until the lock was reacquired.
Causes and Fixes
The new setup register allows the user to select the behavior they want.
Use Flag: The meter will only accept time synchs if the source quality flag reports locked.
Ignore Flag: The meter will accept time synchs regardless of the quality flag state.
