What are some possible reasons the keypad won't come on when powering my Altivar, Altistart or Process Drive other than the keypad itself?

Issue:
Possible reasons the keypad won't come on when powering my Altivar or Process Drive other than the keypad itself.

Product Line:
Altivar Process Drive

Environment:
ALL

Cause:
Wiring

Resolution:
Press firmly on the keypad to ensure the connection is good.  On the Control Terminals, check dc volts from +24 to COM and +10 to COM.
If available, and this is a removable keypad, try the keypad from another drive from the same product line
If you get low voltage readings, the issue is the drive, not the keypad. If the control board is available you can try replacing that for the 10v supply.  The 24v supply comes right off the Power board.
If this is in an area with vibration, or a relatively new installation, and the control board is removable from the front of the drive, you can check the ribbon cable and any other connections behind it.
