This report reveals that energy efficiency has become a top priority for homeowners globally, driven by the ongoing energy crisis and rising electricity costs. The study, which surveyed 13,000 respondents across 11 countries, found that 48% of respondents cited energy efficiency as their primary concern, while 42% emphasized energy security as critical. This heightened focus reflects both environmental consciousness and practical financial considerations as households grapple with increased electrification and rising utility bills. The report also explores homeowners' attitudes toward smart technology adoption and artificial intelligence in managing home energy use. While many consumers are embracing smart devices like lighting systems and thermostats to improve efficiency, there remains significant hesitation around AI integration, with 44% expressing reluctance to rely on AI for household task management. The study also highlights a knowledge gap regarding electrical panels, with 30% of respondents either unsure of their panel's location or its function, despite its crucial role in supporting home electrification and energy management initiatives.
