Issue:
Suffixes on Square D/Schneider Electric Transformers
Product Line:
LV Transformers
Environment:
Applies to Low Voltage Transformers by SquareD/Schneider Electric
Cause:
Transformer options are often denoted by appropriate suffixes at the end of the catalog number
Resolution:
The SW(_) suffix denotes the Transformer has thermal switch(s) in the coil(s) of the Transformer. The standard switch is a Normally Closed set of contacts that will change state at 180C. Where two switches are installed in a coil, the second switch is a Normally Closed set of contacts set to 200C).
SW1 denotes one switch in the center coil of a three-phase transformer.
SW2 denotes one switch in each coil of a single-phase transformer, or two switches in the center coil of a three-phase transformer.
SW3 denotes one switch in each coil of a three-phase transformer.
SW4 denotes two switches in each coil of a single-phase transformer.
SW6 denotes two switches in each coil of a three-phase transformer.
