Is it acceptable to enter a Meter-Pak device through the left or right side walls of the enclosure with the line side service entrance cables and conduits?

Issue:
Product features

Product Line:
Meter-Pak Metering

Resolution:
Square D has not evaluated side entry of service entrance cables and conduits into a MP Meter-Pak meter center. Some of the Meter-Pak devices DO NOT have a side wall exposure for the utility main lug section.

NOTE: Some of the Meter-Pak devices have their right side wall exposed to the utility main lug section, in which the utility company might allow cable entry, but it would be up to the local utility company for approval. For these devices and if installed outdoors, the use of the appropriate UL listed hubs and conduit fittings is required.
For cable entry/exit above live parts, the use of UL listed liquidtight or watertight fittings or hubs would be required. Also, wire bending might be an issue that would need to be addressed on an individual basis and approved by the local inspection authorities and the servicing utility company.
