Resolution:
As standard, the 800 A switches are designed to accept the 800 A frame, class L fuses. The amperage range for the 800 A frame is 601 A to 800 A MAX.
As standard the 1200 A switches are designed to accept the 1200 A frame class L fuses. The amperage range for the 1200 A frame is 800 A to 1200 A MAX.

Square D 800 -1200 A safety switches are  UL listed to accept class L fuses listed to UL248-10 (Low-Voltages Fuses Part 10, Class L Fuses). The scope of UL248-10 includes fuses in the range of 601-6000 A up to 600 Vac or dc. Additionally, there are UL component recognized and non listed fuses in a class L format rated 200 to 600 A available. These fuses will physically fit the mounting provisions in the switch for class L fuses. However, these fuses may not comply to standardized performance criteria. Square D is unable to test switches with fuses that do not adhere to established listing standards.
