Issue
A user would like to create an SQL query to obtain data directly from the ION_Data database. SQL Server Management Studio requires users to have advanced knowledge in writing SQL queries where as the Vista application provides a convenient wizard interface to create the query. The Data Log Viewer provides an "Edit SQL" option to view the Vista query, but these commands do not work in SQL.

Resolution
*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with SQL Server Management Studio. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*
There is a command called 'GetNativeSQL' that can be added to the "Edit SQL" in the Vista Wizard that will allow the user to obtain the native SQL commands required to query the ION_Data database directly in SQL Server Management Studio.
