Can an SDSA3650 be used on a 240 volt, 1phase load?
Issue:
SPD Voltage applications
Product Line:
Surge Protection Devices
Environment:
SDSA
Cause:
1ph, 240v
Resolution:
Yes, by connecting two of the black leads to one phase and the other black lead to the other phase. (This application only works if the voltage supplied includes a neutral.) The white neutral wire must be connected to the grounded neutral. If there is no neutral used with the branch wiring, this surge arrester should not be used.
DO NOT CONNECT THE WHITE WIRE FROM THE SURGE ARRESTOR TO THE BARE OR GREEN WIRE.
