Case 1. QEM does not accept the default username "admin" and password "ASCO" even on the very first access.
Hard reset the QEM by following the steps below:
1. Remove all connections from the QEM except the connector that connects it to the controller.
2. Press and hold the RESET button until indicator lights flash momentarily. Refer to the figure below for the location of the RESET button.
3. Re-connect and try to access using the default credentials again.
4. If it still does not work, clear the browser cache and attempt accessing again.

Case 2. QEM does not accept the password after being prompted to create a new password following a successful initial login.
Check the firmware version and ensure that the password length and character mix meet the requirements. The QEM firmware version can be readily seen on the login form as shown in the figure below. Inspect the last three numbers of the firmware version and refer to the guidelines listed below.
A. For versions lower than -040: a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 15 alpha-numeric characters.
B. For version -40 onwards: a minimum of 8 characters and requires upper-case and lower-case letters, a number, and a special character.
C. If the length and character mix meet the requirements but the controller is still not accepting the passwords, try clearing the browser cache and log back in.
