What is the maximum AIR (or SCCR) for the QMB/QMJ branch switches when used on a DC voltage system?
Issue:
Product Design Features
Product Line:
QMB branch switches
Resolution:
FIRST, VERIFY THAT THE SPECIFIC QMB/QMJ BRANCH SWITCHES HAVE A DC VOLTAGE RATING AND THIS SHOULD BE MARKED ON THE SWITCH WIRING DIAGRAM.
The maximum short circuit current rating for the QMB/QMJ branch switches when used on a DC voltage system is 10 kAIC. This applies to all DC voltage systems (see wiring diagram of switch to confirm if rated for DC; 250 Vdc maximum).
