What is the maximum number of XR frames allowed with a Symmetra PX 20, 40 and 80kW solution?

Issue:
Symmetra PX; What is the maximum number of XR frames allowed with a Symmetra PX solution?

Product line:
Symmetra PX 20, 40, 80kW

Environment:
All models, all serial numbers

Cause:
The maximum number of XR frames allowed with a Symmetra PX solution is 4.

Resolution:
"This depends on the size of the Symmetra PX Main Frame.

For a Symmetra PX 20 or 40kW Frame, the maximum number permitted is 4 fully populated (Battery Frames) XR frames. This will give a runtime of 1 hr 40 mins for a 40kW load. The Battery Monitoring Card cannot handle more than this number of addresses for XR frames.

The part number for a fully populated XR frame is SYCFXR8-8. This consists of the XR frame with 8 Batteries Modules. There are 4 Battery Units in a Module this equals an XR frame with 32 Battery Units installed.

For a Symmetra PX 80kW Frame, the maximum number of additional cabinets is 3 fully populated XR frames. This would make for a total of 4 battery frames in addition to the Main UPS frame which houses the Power Modules. This will give a runtime of 35 mins for an 80kW load.

The part number for a fully populated 80Kw XR frame is SYCF8BF-8. This consists of the XR frame with 8 Batteries Modules. As there are 4 Battery Units in a Module this equals an XR frame with 32 Battery Units installed.

Note: Both battery cabinets listed above may be purchased empty (without batteries) by omitting the ""-8"" at the end of the part number."
