Environment:
Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 10, 11

Cause:
When viewing Power Options (go to Control Panel—Power Options), you may find that the configurable battery shutdown options are missing or unavailable. This may be caused by the HID driver (Human Interface Device) being updated from HID UPS to APC UPS or APC Battery Back-UPS.
Solution:
If you no longer use PowerChute software and want to utilize native battery options, you may need to roll back / revert the HID Driver to HID UPS.
The featured video explains how to revert/restore the HID UPS Driver, which will allow for the configuration of the native battery shutdown option.
