Why do I get SIZE ERR 4K on my 8005PR4 when I try to write the program to my SY/MAX model 50 memory pack?

Product Line

SY/MAX

Environment

8005PR4

Resolution

"SIZE ERR 4K" is displayed on the 8005PR4 when an attempt is made to write a 4K step program to a 1k-step memory pack. To overcome this the user must replace the 1K-step memory pack (8005MP1) with a 4K-step memory pack. There are three models of 4K-step memory packs: 8005MP4 (CMOS-RAM with battery), 8005MP14 (EPROM) and 8005MP24 (EEPROM).
