In the Profile Editor of Powerlogic SCADA (PLS), when real time tags are added to a device profile, there is an option to check Trend Tag. When this box is checked, corresponding trend tags will be created for the real time tags when the device is added into a PLS project.
There are two different intervals for scanning trend tags. All selected trend tags are scanned every 15 minutes (900 seconds) with FIFO storage of 12 months. For the following tags, there is an additional "short" scanning interval of 5 seconds with FIFO storage of two weeks: Current A, Current B, Current C, Voltage AB, Voltage BC, Voltage CA, Power Factor Total, Apparent Power Total, Reactive Power Total, Real Power Total, and Frequency.
Instructions on how to modify the default value of 5 seconds used for the short scanning interval, see page 102 of the Powerlogic SCADA System Integrator manual and the Trend Tag Scan Intervals section.
Additionally, the sample period of trend tags already added into a project can be modified within the Project Editor. Modify the Sample Period field, click the Replace button, and then compile the project.
