Issue:
need to check USB communications between Windows OS and APC Back-UPS or APC Smart-UPS
The USB drivers for communications between APC UPS and Windows OS are pre-installed in the Windows OS.
The drivers should load automatically once the APC UPS has been connected to the computer using the proper USB cable. The drivers that will load are HID UPS Battery and American Power Conversion USB UPS.
NOTE: If PowerChute had previously been installed on the system you may see APC UPS under Batteries.
If the drivers do not load automatically;

- Open C:\Windows\System32\drivers
- Verify that hidclass.sys, hidparse.sys, and hidusb.sys are available.
