Issue:
Nutanix Files does not shut down when vCenter Server is deployed as a VM on the Nutanix Cluster.
Product Line:
PowerChute Network Shutdown v4.3
Environment:
PowerChute configured with Nutanix support with VMware as hypervisor; vCenter Server deployed as a VM on the Nutanix Cluster; Nutanix Files 3.0, 3.1, 3.2
Cause:
Nutanix Files VMs do not have VMware Guest Tools installed, which prevents PowerChute from retrieving their IP addresses in order to stop Nutanix Files Cluster via SSH. This issue only occurs where vCenter Server is deployed as a VM on the Nutanix Cluster.
Solution:
Update Nutanix Files to version 3.5
