How to change the NodeName of a controller in EcoStruxure Machine Expert? When attempting to change it I received message: "The setting of the device name has failed"

When trying to change the NodeName of a controller inside EcoStruxure Machine Expert I'm unable to do it and receive the following image:

This is a bug currently being worked on version 2.1 and previous ones of EcoStruxure Machine Expert.


However, this FAQ presents a workaround to change the NodeName of your controller by following these steps:

1) Inside ESME, click on "Tools" tab
2) Select "Options ..."
3) Select "Device editor" in the left menu
4) In the "Communication page" section, select "Classic mode".

5) Proceed to change the NodeName in the new Communication Page.

6) [Optional] If you prefer the previous Communication Page layout, you can change it back to the traditional view (repeat steps from 1 to 4, in step 4 select "Controller selection mode" in the "Communication Page").
