Issue:
How to configure the PowerChute Network Shutdown Parameters on a Network Management Card?
Product:
PowerChute Network Shutdown version 4.4.x and 5.x
Environment:
All supported OS
Cause:
Informational
Solution:
The Username and authentication phrase entered in the PowerChute Parameters must match those entered in the PowerChute web UI setup. To view the PowerChute Parameters on the Network Management Card (NMC), log into the card and go to Configuration and Shutdown; at the bottom of the page, you will see the PowerChute Parameters.
For assistance with the PowerChute Username, Password, and Authentication Phrase requirements see Schneider Electric What are the PowerChute Network Shutdown Username, Password, and Authentication Phrase requirements.
If HTTPS or HTTP is not enabled, you must enable the one you will use for communication in the PowerChute Parameters to allow a connection. If HTTP or HTTPS are not enabled, you will see the error Cannot connect to https://ip address:443 or HTTP://ip address 80.
Note: HTTP is disabled by default on the Network Management Card. When viewing the PowerChute Parameters, the option to enable HTTP is grayed out. To utilize HTTP, you must first enable HTTP web access and then enable HTTP access within the PowerChute Parameters, as shown above.
