How to Perform a Logic Reset or "Brain Dead" on a Smart-UPS Ultra 5-10kW?

Cause:
The Brain Dead procedure performs a reset of the UPS microprocessor. This is useful for basic troubleshooting to attempt to clear any alarms. It does not however reset saved preferences.

Cause:
The Brain Dead procedure performs a reset of the UPS microprocessor. This is useful for basic troubleshooting to attempt to clear any alarms. It does not however reset saved preferences.
Resolution:
- Turn off any connected load.
- Turn off the UPS using the LCD Display, and disconnect the AC input.
- For hardwired units, refer to the User Manual - Deenergizing safety.
- Turn off the internal battery module using the Battery On/Off switch.
- Turn off the battery modules using Battery On/Off switch in any external battery packs connected to the UPS.
- Reconnect the internal and any external batteries, reconnect AC input, and turn the UPS on using the LCD Display.
