Goals and Symptoms
StruxureWare Power Monitoring 7.0.1 requires a supported combination of Windows operating system and SQL Server edition.
Note: StruxureWare Power Monitioring 7.0.1 has added support for SQL Server 2008 Express Edition
There are two types of upgrade:

- In-Place: possible when your server has a compatible combination of operating system and SQL Server Edition
- Side By Side: required when your existing server has an operating system and SQL Server Edition combination that is not supported by StruxureWare Power Monitoring 7.0.1.

The attached document will help determine your upgrade type and suggest relevant upgrade documentation.
