How to replace obsolete SM motor?

SM motors do not have direct and universal replacement.

SM motors are similar to MH3. However SM works with PacDrive M only and MH3 works with PacDrive 3 only.

To be able to work with MC-4 drives from Pacdrive M, SM needs to be replaced by SH3 (can work with Pacdrive 3 and Pacdrive M as well). This is not so simple. We do not know what parameters are important for the application (torque/speed curve, dimensions, rotor inertia…) and why was certain SM motor selected at first place. It is recommended to consult it with manufacturer of the machine, if you want to replace SM motor to SH3 motor.
