The 3-year PLANETIC project aimed to provide a unified vision of the Spanish information and communication technology (ICT). The technological platform that answered the economic needs of the Spanish ICT sector was used to improve the sector's international positioning and serve as a common workplace for businesses and R&D centers.
Co-founded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad) under the 2008 – 2011 framework of the National Plan for Scientific Research, Development, and Technological Innovation (Pln Nacional de Investigación Científica, Desarrollo e Innovación Tecnológica) and the Influence subprogram (INF-2013-0254-430000 and PTR-2014-0367), the project had a €131K + €191K budget.
