In the course of the SHIFT2DC project, the partners will conduct various analyses including feasibility, cost-benefit, lifecycle, and environmental impact assessments. The proposed solutions will undergo testing at two field-test demonstration sites, two DC living labs, and two digital twin demonstrators. Through these field-tests and demonstrators, an assessment of advanced control methodologies and tools will be carried out. The suitable implementation conditions will be defined, and the most promising solutions and corresponding business models for MV and LV DC systems will be consolidated.
Funded by Horizon Europe programme of the European Commission (Grant Agreement no. 101136131), the project scheduled to be carried out from December 2023 to May 2027 has a budget of €11.3M.
