The 4-year SINNOGENES (Storage Innovations for Green Energy Systems) project aims to design and demonstrate the storage innovations energy toolkit, which are innovative applications and technologies that render energy storage as the game-changer for the acceleration of the successful energy transition and sectors decarbonization towards an EU integrated and flexible energy system.
Thanks to the collaboration and sharing experiences across many different countries is essential to learning the best paradigms for energy storage valorization. Through six demonstration campaigns in five dispersed countries across Europe it will be possible to test and evaluate the functionalities of the proposed toolkit in different environments and demand sectors, promoting the energy system transformation aligned with the Paris Agreement and the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Funded by Horizon Europe programme of the European Commission (grant agreement no. 101096992), the project scheduled to be carried out from January 2023 to December 2026 has a budget of €9.7M.
