The 3-year TERMINET (nexT gEneRation sMart INterconnectEd ioT) project aims to evaluate a new IoT reference architecture provided with advanced technologies.
The main objectives of TERMINET will be (a) the deployment of decentralized artificial intelligence based on advanced software and accelerated hardware, (b) to reduce the deployment complexity of interacting IoT devices due to heterogeneous designs, (c) implementation of advanced smart IoT equipment aimed to new market use-cases, (d) encourage contextual computing for augmented and virtual reality, (e) development of an IoT decentralized blockchain framework for manufacturing, (f) add vertical security, (g) propose new disruptive business models, while contributing IoT standardization initiatives and (h) validate developments for six market-oriented use cases of different domains (energy, smart buildings, smart farming, healthcare, and manufacturing).
Funded by H2020 programme of the European Commission (project reference no. 957406), the project scheduled to be carried out from November 2020 to October 2023 has a budget of €8.0M.
