The TIGRIS (Total Integrated GRid Intelligent System) project aimed to develop an integrated, secure smart grid solution in order to:
- Provide efficient, economical, automated, and reliable electrical distribution.
- Increase system capacity without investment in new infrastructure.
Co-funded by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), Junta de Andalucía, and the European Commission under the INNTERCONECTA program, the project (ITC-20131002) had a budget of €2,860,169 from 2013 to February 2015.
