VPP4Islands is a 4-year project aiming to smoothen the integration of renewable generation systems, promoting the transition to a smarter and cleaner energy, and to help islands exploiting different approaches in energy efficiency and innovative storage. At the same time, the project expects to reduce costs, GHG emissions and the utilization of heavy fuel oils to generate power, and the creation of new business, growth and local specialized jobs.
Funded by H2020 programme of the European Commission (grant agreement no. 957852), the project scheduled to be carried out from October 2020 to March 2024 has a budget of €7.2M.
