Schneider Electric at SPS 2024

Ali joined Schneider Electric as Senior Vice President Machine Solutions for Industrial Automation in 2015 and has recently expanded his role by taking up the leadership of Schneider’s Digital Plant business earlier in 2021. Ali has spent 20 years in different roles in Industrial Automation and Energy Management including various leadership positions in R&D, sales and marketing, business development, strategy and general management. This experience and his knowledge of dedicated customer markets is combined with a proven track record in driving innovation and global business growth as well as digitization. Ali started his career as Motion Control Project Manager for Siemens AG in 2001. Ali graduated from Technische Universität München (Germany) and holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering, as well as a doctorate in Mechatronics.

Jessica Bethune, a business law graduate, has been working at Schneider Electric since January 2022, where she was Managing Director for the process automation segment in the Central Europe region. Before her current position, she worked at various software companies and at the Schneider Electric partner company OSIsoft. Most recently, she led sales for Equinix, a global data center provider. Bethune is also actively involved in industry associations such as the VDMA and the ZVEI, where she passes on her know-how on the topics of process automation and digitalization. Jessica Bethune has more than 20 years of experience in sales, sales operations management, business development and strategic project management. She has a high level of expertise in the digitalization of various industries and is committed to sustainability, digitalization and economic resilience. She is convinced that an entrepreneurial mindset characterized by sustainability and digitalization offers the best conditions for the business location to gain resilience.

Jochen Weiland has spent the last 20 years working for Schneider Electric holding a number of different positions related to standardization, project and product management as well as customer support and applications management. As VP for Motion Control he is responsible for solutions based on EcoStruxure Machine and the evolutions and innovations of the related product portfolio such as the Modicon M660 that is presented at SPS 2024 the first time.
