Tina Mylon, Senior Vice President at Schneider Electric, the global leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has been named as the winner of the People and Culture category in the 2022 WeQual Awards for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). These unique business awards are designed to increase group executive committee diversity in the world's biggest companies.
As part of its mission to help tackle the slow progress in appointing women to top executive roles, WeQual champions successful businesswomen who are just one step below, or working at, C-suite level. Tina’s readiness for a global executive role stood out when anonymously assessed alongside the two other finalists in her category. This process included an executive interview with Steve Cahillane, Chairman, President and CEO of The Kellogg Company, who highlighted Tina’s passion, energy and proven networking skills.
“I was already very honored to be part of the WeQual EMEA finalists with an amazing group of women leaders. Receiving this award is extra special. It’s a recognition of the vital importance of people and culture in business, and of Schneider’s continued progress in these areas,” said Tina.
Charise Le, Schneider Electric’s Chief Human Resources Officer, added: “We’re very proud of this well-deserved recognition for Tina, who is a role model for all of us at Schneider Electric. She lives and demonstrates our values through everything she does, and is leading the way in how we continue to transform our culture. This WeQual recognition is a strong reflection of how great people make Schneider Electric a great company, and of how we’re committed to fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.”
As a WeQual Alumni member, Tina will receive support from WeQual’s global network, which helps senior businesswomen to take their next step within their organizations. More than 35% of the winners of previous WeQual Awards have been promoted to the leadership teams of major global companies. In 2020, Monique Elliott, Schneider Electric’s Senior Vice President of Industrial Automation Global Marketing, also joined this 168-strong club of WeQual finalists.
As part of its sustainability strategy and its role as an impact company, Schneider Electric is committed to driving positive change and providing equal opportunities for everyone. This includes increasing gender diversity throughout the company’s workforce and ensuring that women make up 50% of new hires, 40% of frontline managers, and 30% of senior leadership by 2025.
WeQual announced the 2022 EMEA winners from a range of sectors including Technology, Transformation, Commercial, Business Development, Procurement and Supply Chain, Brand and Finance.
