Schneider Electric, the global provider of power distribution solutions for offshore ships and offshore platforms, which was named the world’s most sustainable corporation by Corporate Knights Global 100 Index in February 2021, today announced the launch of its next-generation BlokSeT™ MB low voltage switchboards – with a more advanced design to meet the offshore demand for superior operational safety.
BlokSeT MB’s iPMCC (intelligent Power and Motor Control Center) is a highly capable and advanced smart solution for fault prevention, protection, and automatic restart. Safety and reliability have been significantly improved with the iPMCC’s new temperature and humidity monitoring thermal sensors. This permanent thermal monitoring system utilizes small plastic non-contact and non-powered IR sensors that extend the maintenance lifecycle, and mitigate safety risks such as electrical fires
Other major design improvements are
- The new fresh look and feel, giving the BlokSeT MB a stylistic ergonomic finish. This smart innovation makes it easier and safer to operate and maintain the LV switchboard.
- Improved Arc Containment performance to enhance safety for end customer.
With EcoStruxure™ IoT-enabled solutions, switchboard data can be collected and analyzed in real-time via wireless connectivity, giving operators predictive – rather than preventive – maintenance analysis.
With our next-generation BlokSeT MB LV switchboards, Schneider Electric further establishes its dedication to maximizing uptime and enhancing safety, reliability, and connectivity for industry professionals everywhere.
