Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, today announced the opening of new operations in Singapore to serve the growing needs of its Energy & Sustainability Services (ESS) customers in East Asia & Japan. The new operation will support a dedicated team of expert employees providing consultancy and advisory services for the company’s energy, sustainability and climate programs.
The new East Asia & Japan hub was initiated to accommodate the rapid energy transition in the region to more sustainable energy solutions. The new office will initially support customers with operations in Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and Japan where demand for renewable energy, microgrids, and enterprise sustainability is on the rise.
“The commercial and industrial sector in East Asia & Japan is mature and robust, but has traditionally been reliant on traditional generation methods for power. However, Singapore and other countries in the region are looking to make a dramatic transition to increase sustainability – creating a trickle down effect to the businesses and organizations that operate there,” said Steve Wilhite, Senior Vice President, Schneider Electric. “This transition can be complex without the right partner in place to provide a blueprint. We believe the powerful combination of our global reach and decades of expertise with a local, on the ground presence, will make a tremendous impact for the organizations looking to progress their sustainability journey.”
“The time is right for Schneider Electric to launch ESS in the East Asia & Japan region. With the strong commitment demonstrated by governments in the region, most notably by Singapore, South Korea and Japan, we believe there will be increasing strong demand for our consultancy and offerings,” added Tommy Leong, Zone President, East Asia & Japan.
“The pandemic has also awoken many corporations to the need to become more efficient, resilient and sustainable and while not at the expense of business goals. This is where our expertise will be able to directly add value to our customers,” remarked Jackson Seng, ESS Leader, East Asia & Japan
Schneider Electric’s ESS helps thousands of organizations across the globe develop strategic plans, and implement projects and programs to meet their energy, sustainability and climate goals. For more information, please visit www.se.com/ess
