Schneider Electric has been named winner at IDC Industry Insights Innovation Awards (IDCIIA) 2020 for Excellence in Operations.
Customer centricity is a key value of Schneider Electric and one of the best ways to achieve this is through digital innovation. Finance Digitization started the journey of automation in 2019, focusing its efforts on journal entries, the foundation for all financial reports. Posting journals is a high volume, time-consuming, and critical process for every organization. Working closely with the Global Finance Services we identified the best use cases for RPA (Robotic Process Automation), optimized the Business process, and then automated. So far, the automations delivered productivity savings of over 6,500 person-days per year for Global Finance Services and target to deliver another 6,000 person-days in 2021.

The Industry Insights Innovation Awards seek to recognize organizations and tech leaders of tomorrow who have driven change through the application of technology to improve business performance in specific industry verticals and areas of business. The evaluation of nominations and selection of finalists is independently undertaken by a multidisciplinary team comprising global IDC executive leadership, senior industry research leaders, and domain experts.
