PSE ENM Duplicate Emails for every event
Issue
ENM is emailing out duplicate alarms for every event that PSE is passing alarms
Product Line
PSE 7.20, 7.40, 8.1, 8.2
ENM 8.3.x, 8.2, 8.1
Environment
ENM
Cause
There are duplicate servers in the LG_OPC_Servers table so the ENM software is sending out one notification per server.
Resolution
*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with SQL Server Management Studio. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*
1. Open SQL Server Management Studio
2. Expand the Databases Section within the Object Explorer
3. Expand PLES_AEHistory and expand Tables
4. Right click on dbo.LG_OPC_Servers and click "Edit Top 200 Rows"
5. There should be a listing of servers within the table. There should be a duplicate listing with a Server_ID other than 1. Change the Server_Name for that server to "duplicate" (without the quotes).
6. Click on a different cell so the change is saved.
7. Close out SQL Server Management Studio and duplicate emails should no longer occur
