How to Modify RemoteConnect Objects Associated with Logic Variables Online
Typically if a user wants to manipulate variables in a logic program using RemoteConnect, they can manipulate these in an Animation table. When using SCADApack x70 devices this statement is true only for elementary variables or internal DDT type variables. A user cannot manipulate variables that are of the type "T_SPx70_XXX"
See logic example below with an animation table in the Logic Editor. In this example if a user was to try and manipulate the "Start" variable to start the motor, it cannot be accessed via the Animation table. It also cannot be manipulated by right-clicking on the "Start" variable to change the state in the drop-down menu of the ladder section.
The way to manipulate the "T_SPx70_XXX" objects associated with variables is to use the Object Browsers in RemoteConnect. Please see the example Browser in RemoteConnect below.
Further information about Object browsers, T_SPx70 variables and working online with SCADAPack x70 devices can be found in the RemoteConnect help manuals installed with RemoteConnect
