Ben Selier has been appointed the Vice President for Secure Power, Anglophone Africa at Schneider Electric. In this strategic role, Selier will lead the Secure Power business across 24 countries with Schneider Electric’s Anglophone Africa cluster, playing a pivotal role in managing and expanding the datacentre marketplace across the continent.
Selier brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position, having held senior roles at go2Invest GmbH and Wesco Anixter. His extensive industry knowledge includes the management of high-performance datacentres in Germany and Oman, which is testament to his knowledge of design, ownership, and product placement within datacentre operations.
Commenting on his appointment, Selier states, "My main focus will be on prioritising the customer and channel experience within the Secure Power business. Schneider Electric aims to digitise and electrify our customers' operations with a strong emphasis on sustainability. We are committed to facilitating this transformation on behalf of our customers across the entire region."
Selier also emphasised Schneider Electric's continued focus to bringing its vendor agnostic software architecture, EcoStruxure into the fold. “Our aim is to deliver software that will optimise the implementation and management of power solutions, enabling business to gain the most from their investment in energy resources.”
