- Stop all Security Expert Services from Windows-Services.
- Open SQL Server Management Studio from the Start Menu.
Note: If SQL Management Studio can't be found, it can be downloaded from Microsoft website for free.
- At Connect to Server screen, choose the server name and the preferable authentication method then click Connect.
- Expand the Databases folder.
- Right-click SecurityExpert and select Tasks, then select Restore, then select Database.
- Select "Device:" and add your Database file, then click the [...] button.
- The Select backup devices window opens.
- Click Add to browse to the backup file to be restored.
- Browse to the backup file. ( xxxx.bak) ,then click OK.
- You'll see that the file has been added as a backup path. Click OK.
- You should now have the backup file listed under Backup sets to restore.
- Select (enable) the Restore check box beside the backup set.
- Click the Options page and ensure the Restore options are set to Overwrite the existing database.
- Go back to General page and click Verify Backup Media, after that Progress will show Done.
- Click OK to start the restore process. Progress is shown as the database is restored.
- Once the restore is complete, restart the Security Expert Services.
