VAMP 255 relay is in "SAFE MOOD", How can this problem be fixed?

issue:
Vamp relay is in Safe mode

Environment:
VAMP protection relay error/troubleshooting

Resolution:
We can try to recover the relay by doing a forced restart (AKA a double button restart) as follows:

- Turn off the auxiliary power supply
- Press up and down arrow keys simultaneously and connect the aux power
This procedure takes relay to mode where the display is empty and Error LED might be lit.

Now, there are two options:
1.Relay can be rebooted by switching off the aux power. Check that everything is back to normal , or
2.New firmware can be installed to relay (SO, BEFORE THIS PROCEDURE, ENSURE YOU HAVE THE FIRMWARE AND THE SCRIPT FILES). Below is how to update the firmware:
- Connect the PC to the relay with Vampset-tool
- Choose Communication and Update firmware
- After FW is installed, run the scripts provided. first xxxxDefault.run and after that xxxx.run, where xxxx is the serial of the number (last string of VID-number).
If the new FW and run scripts did not help solve the issue, relay needs to be replaced.
Note:
- The script-files are relay specific files. Contact Vamp Support with the Relay's serial number, they will provide the script files.
- Latest Vampset-version can be downloaded from: https://m.vamp.fi/dmsdocument/238
