Walid Sheta is Schneider Electric's President of Middle East & Africa region. Sheta began his career with Schneider Electric in 1994 and assumed his current role in November 2021, where he oversees six clusters serving 80 countries. In 2022, Schneider Electric partnered with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology in the U.A.E. to support the objectives of the country’s Industry 4.0 program to raise industrial productivity by 30% and add about $6.8 billion to the national economy over the next decade. Before taking his current role, Sheta had served as the Cluster President of Schneider Electric North East Africa and Levant since 2016.
Amel Chadli is the President of the Gulf Cluster in Schneider Electric and member of Schneider Electric's Middle East and Africa Executive Leadership Team. She assumed the role at of the beginning of 2024 following her previous position as Vice President for Digital Energy and Energy Management Software for the Middle East and Africa region.
Amel is committed to creating a more sustainable and inclusive future for all, using technologies and digital innovation to empower all to make the most of their energy and resources. She leads a team mandated with driving innovation and growth in digital transformation, sustainability, and energy management and industrial automation powered by artificial intelligence technologies across the region.
In her previous role, Amel succeeded in building one of the fastest growing business units in the company focusing on digitization of energy management for smart buildings, grids, power infrastructure, and services across Middle East and Africa. She was responsible for many transformative and landmark projects through her territory.
With almost two decades of experience in the company, Amel’s journey has been marked by agility and adaptability. Having navigated diverse geographies, from Europe to Africa and the dynamic hub of Dubai across multiple disciplines including financial, strategy and business development leadership roles. Most notably, Amel was the Chief Financial Officer for the company’s business in Francophone Africa Cluster and helped bringing in financial acumen and strategy in one of the region’s most challenging and rapidly changing environments and succeeded in reinforcing the company financial integrity and performance.
Prior to Schneider Electric, she held various roles in the finance management organizations in APC, Ernst & Young and MessageMedia.
Her accomplishments extend beyond the workplace. She sits on various local, regional and global industry boards and associations, dedicating her time to share her knowledge with the industry community. Amel is also on the Executive Committee of RES4Africa, a foundation with a resolute dedication to supporting Africa's energy transition and achieving Sustainable Development Goal 7.
Amel’s dedication to sustainability and empowerment, particularly of local talent, women, and youth, positions her as a catalyst for positive change in the industry.
Asli Cakir is the Human Resources Vice President for Schneider Electric across the Gulf region and brings close to 20 years of experience. Asli has spent over 9 years working at Schneider Electric and her previous role was HR Director serving international markets, including APAC, MEA and SAM.
Prior joining Schneider Electric, Asli worked for Rockwool, Hewlett Packard & Ernst & Young where she held various HR leadership roles.
Cakir holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Instanbul University and Masters degree in Human Resources.
Nihad El Jarroudi is the Vice President for Industrial Automation for Gulf countries with more than 18 years of professional experience in Schneider Electric. She is currently based in Dubai, UAE.
Prior to this, Nihad led the Industry business in French Speaking Africa and Islands while she was based in Morocco. Nihad has also served as Mining, Mineral and Metal Leader for French Speaking Africa and Islands.
Nihad has built her vast experience by working in a host of technical fields, project management, marketing communication as well as sales in France, and Morocco where she has resided for the last 10 years. She has a Master's degree in Engineering from the prestigious INSA de Lyon in France.
Louie Jarouche is the Country Manager for Qatar and Kuwait for Schneider Electric. With a strong foundation in electrical engineering, Louie has held prominent roles at the organization and has been instrumental in driving success in the energy management and industrial automation industry.
In his current role, Louie supports the energy management and industrial automation transformation of customers across Residential & Commercial Buildings, Power & Infrastructure sectors, and fosters strong and impactful relationships with Schneider’s ecosystem of Electrical Contractors, Consultants, Panel Builders, Distributors, and OEMs.
Previously, Louie has held key positions in Marketing, Sales management, Business Development, Commercial Policy Support as well as Field Services.
Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Louie worked across various market segments and customer types at ABB Australia and NHP Electrical Engineering Products.
Louie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Western Sydney University, Australia where he lived and worked before moving to the Middle East. He currently resides in Doha, Qatar and is passionate about reaffirming Schneider Electric’s commitment to reshaping the construction and energy landscape in Gulf region through our 'Strategize, Digitize, and Decarbonize' approach, designed to support sustainability and energy efficiency.
Health & Safety, Facilities & Sustainability Leader
Ashraf Abdelkhalek joined Schneider Electric in 2007 as a Testing and Commissioning Engineer. Having been with Schneider Electric for over 15 years, Ashraf has held positions in Field Services, Execution Hub and Cluster operations in KSA and Gulf countries.
Since 2018, Ashraf is responsible for Health & Safety & Real Estate & Sustainability for Schneider Electric in the Gulf region. Leading the efforts to ensure our operations are sustainable and efficient in line with the company sustainability commitments. Ashraf holds a Degree from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University (Egypt) and he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). On the sustainability front, he has a certification in 'Carbon Management' from The Energy Institute and successfully completed key sustainability related courses and certificates over the years.
Aditya Bhargava is Schneider Electric’s new Vice President of Transactional Marketing and is responsible for the transactional business for Gulf region since January 2024. In his current role, Aditya leads offer and channel marketing, pricing, prescription and commercial policy.
Hady Stephan is Schneider Electric's Vice President for Power Systems in Gulf. Hady brings a vast business and operational experience from his diverse roles and assignments in different geographies with Schneider Electric, Hady joined Schneider Electric thirteen years ago where he has held several positions in tendering, project management, business development, marketing and sales.
Most recently, Hady was Vice President for Energies and Chemicals for Middle East. Before that Hady led the Levant Cluster Organization in a critical mission of expanding Schneider Electric’s footprint In Iraq before moving to the UAE to lead the Energies and Chemicals Sales team for Middle East and Africa.
In his current role Hady supports Schneider Electric’s customers and partners with their energy efficiency, sustainability and digital transformation.
Hady holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from his home country, Lebanon.
Vice President for Schneider Electric’s Gulf Secure Power division
Manuel Alzugaray Rodrigues is Vice President for Schneider Electric’s Secure Power division in the Gulf region. Rodrigues has over 16 years’ experience in the technology channel space, and leads the company’s data center business across Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and the UAE.
A computer systems engineering graduate of Boston University, Rodrigues joined Schneider Electric in 2014 as a sales manager. His last role was as an IT Business Unit Sales Director in North America.
Manuel is a strong voice in the region’s IT circles and regularly speaks and presents on topics such as Data Centers of the Future, Web 3.0, Edge Computing, Artificial Intelligence and more.
