Stable and sustainable partnerships are more important than ever to overcome an era of disruption, business leaders stressed at Schneider Electric’s Innovation Summit Middle East & Africa 2022.
In a complex and uncertain world facing supply chain disruption, climate change, rising inflation and myriad economic shocks, partnerships among the UAE’s business community are a model for resilience in an uncertain world.
Georges El Mir, Vice President for Oil and Gas in the Middle East and Africa at Schneider Electric, stressed that “resilience and digital infrastructure investment” were essential for companies – and their partnerships – to overcome adversities in the post-Covid era. Both are vital to ease supply chain pressures, enhance sustainability and boost energy efficiency for businesses, he added.
Ludovic Quentin, General Manager, Al-Futtaim ACE, said the pandemic was an opportunity for companies to accelerate digital transformation and create stronger partnerships. “The constant challenges put forward by fast-changing market dynamics are an incentive for companies and organizations to amplify competitiveness on one hand, and stimulate partnerships between them on the other,” he said.
Kareem Junay, Chief Product & Marketing Officer at Arena Computers, stressed the importance of combining digital upskilling with the process of building robust digital infrastructure. “These areas create a vast space for companies to communicate and work together on new levels in a faster, dynamic manner,” he said. “This also provides more diverse alternatives for various business sectors, especially if technical support is provided to customer service at all times.”
Crafting innovative mechanisms for continuous communication will be crucial in the post-Covid era, Saju Thomas, Managing Director at Thomsun Group, said. “The importance of consistently anticipating customers’ needs – present and future – to determine the form of partnerships each business sector requires has become more important than ever.”
Proactive planning to strengthening the value chain
Spiros Rafailovits, General Manager at Logicom Distribution in the UAE and GCC, stressed that addressing market challenges was a continuous process. “The process is based on a non-stop pursuit of next-generation digital solutions to match the demand for products and services with proactive planning and management.”
Schneider Electric, the leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation, held its hybrid Innovation Summit Middle East & Africa 2022 on 18-19 May in Dubai. More than 5,000 delegates attended the summit virtually and in-person as the conference convened industry leaders, technology experts, policymakers and global companies to chart a path towards a sustainable future.
