Dubai - UAE

08/08/2023

Schneider Electric has appointed Ahmed Fateen as the Channel Commercial Vice President serving the UAE, Oman and Bahrain markets. Fateen will be responsible for driving business growth across the three Gulf markets, overseeing Channel commercial strategy, business development, and stronger customer integration.

Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has appointed Ahmed Fateen as the Channel Commercial Vice President serving the UAE, Oman and Bahrain markets. Fateen will be responsible for driving business growth across the three Gulf markets, overseeing Channel commercial strategy, business development, and stronger customer integration.

Fateen was previously Vice President of Power Systems covering the Gulf region for Schneider Electric for three and a half years. He is also an expert on sustainable designs for utilities, where he served across different geographies such as Egypt, West Africa, East Africa and the Middle East.

Fateen will play a crucial role in enabling Schneider Electric's customers on their path towards a greener and more connected future, many of whom are seeking ways to optimize energy usage. This comes at a time when Oman and the UAE are pursuing ambitions to achieve net zero emissions by 2050, while Bahrain has set its target for 2060.

“I am excited to extend my near two-decade journey with Schneider Electric, which has already taken me from Cairo to Lagos, Nairobi to Dubai,” said Ahmed Fateen. “As the Gulf continues to support global energy security and investing in new low-carbon industries, we are ready to enable companies to embrace technologies that are powering a new electric world. We have an exciting opportunity to work in partnership with Bahrain, Oman and the UAE on their journey towards net zero emissions.”

Fateen joined Schneider Electric in 2006 where he held different roles in the Channel Partners Business. Ahmed then moved to Nigeria to take the role of Marketing & Business Development for West Africa, then to Kenya to lead the Transactional Business for East Africa.
