Terms and Conditions

The provisions for use of workforce development solutions by Schneider Electric Industry Services Academy are listed below. These provisions cover general conditions as well as conditions that apply to E-Learning (Web-Based Training or WBT), Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT), and Classroom Training.

The Schneider Electric Industry Services Academy website, website content, domain name https://www.se.com/isacademy/ and related URLs, and workforce development solutions are the property of Schneider Electric SE.

AgreementThese terms and conditions between Schneider Electric and the Customer under which Schneider Electric Industry Services Academy (ISA) undertakes to provide the Customer with one or more Training sessions in return for payment by the Customer of the applicable fee. Agreement also includes General Terms and Conditions on Sale of Schneider Electric Products (copy included in the proposal or available on request).
CustomerThe legal entity that has concluded an Agreement with Schneider Electric
ParticipantA natural person who participates in a Training and is employed by a Customer
Service(s)Work carried out by Schneider Electric Industry Services Academy (ISA) on the instructions and/or on behalf of the Customer in connection with Training
TrainingAll Training sessions, courses, classes, or parts thereof provided or organized by or on behalf of Schneider Electric Industry Services Academy (ISA)
  • Schneider Electric reserves all rights to its intellectual property shared during Training. Schneider Electric’s intellectual property includes, but is not limited to, Participant materials, presentations slides, test questions, reference materials, digital content, videos, software, hardware equipment, procedures, etc. Hardware equipment includes but is not limited to workstations, control, processes, sensing devices, and physical property owned and operated by Schneider Electric and set up for instructional use in the Training. Schneider Electric’s intellectual property may not be copied, recorded, reproduced, shared, or re-sold to anyone without express written consent from Schneider Electric. The Participant and the Customer recognize the aforementioned rights of Schneider Electric and will refrain from any direct or indirect infringement thereof.
  • It is the Customer’s responsibility to provide internet access of such bandwidth and access speed as not to impact the learning experience, for all Participants as well as Trainers, when Training is not being delivered in Schneider Electric facilities.
  • Participant limits mentioned in the scope of work, deliverables, financials, or the Terms & Conditions section will be strictly adhered to.
  • All delivery dates, if not specifically mentioned in the proposal, will be mutually agreed between Schneider Electric and the Customer at least 4 weeks prior to the delivery and expressly confirmed by Schneider Electric, subject to a Purchase Order issued by customer.
  • Schneider Electric reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any Training not confirmed 4 weeks prior to delivery.
  • The Customer will pay the entire amount due for the Training within thirty (30) days of the invoice date, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing with Schneider Electric.
  • If Schneider Electric is unable to meet its obligations due to any cause beyond the reasonable control of Schneider Electric, or which Schneider Electric could not reasonably foresee or reasonably provide against, Schneider Electric may suspend performance and will be entitled to amend the Agreement in such a way as to enable performance. If a certain Training cannot proceed, Schneider Electric is not liable to the Participant or the Customer. Schneider Electric will, if possible, arrange for replacement Training, possibly provided by another employee. If Schneider Electric is unable to offer replacement Training, the Customer will be entitled to a partial or full refund of the fee paid, depending on the part of the Training that could not be carried out.
  • Training will be delivered by qualified Schneider Electric personnel with care, skill, and diligence, in accordance with the applicable generally accepted standards recognized by the industry. If Schneider Electric requires information from, or cooperation with, the Participant or the Customer in order to ensure proper performance of Schneider Electric obligations, Schneider Electric will be released from Schneider Electric’s obligations in the event of late, incorrect, or incomplete provision of such information or cooperation.
  • If any type of safety Training, work permits, regulatory permissions, clearances, certification, etc. are required for Schneider Electric Trainers, facilities, or materials, in order to deliver Services to the Customer, the full cost of obtaining such Training, permits, permissions, or certifications, including the cost of Schneider Electric employees’ time, travel, boarding, and lodging, will be provided and paid by the Customer, irrespective of whether these have been identified prior to the Training or not.
  • Schneider Electric reserves the right to make changes to the content of the Training in its sole discretion. No rights may be derived from a Schneider Electric brochure, website, or other means of communication.
  • THESE WARRANTIES, CONDITIONS, AND EXCLUSIONS ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, CONDITIONS, REPRESENTATIONS AND GUARANTEES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED, TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, MERCHANTABLE QUALITY, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
  • Schneider Electric reserves the right in its sole discretion to change the location or scheduled date of the training where necessary.
  • Schneider Electric reserves the right to make organizational and substantive changes to a training, including, but not limited to, replacing the Trainer.
  • The Customer must provide written notice of cancellation of a Training. In the event of such cancellation, Schneider Electric may issue a partial or full refund of the fees paid. Unless otherwise specified, the Customer can cancel at no charge up to thirty (30) business days before the Training start date. In case of cancellation between thirty (30) business days and fourteen (14) business days before the training start date, 50% of the total amount due will be charged. In case of cancellation within fourteen (14) business days of the Training start date, 100% of the total amount due will be charged.
  • Any complaints about the training must be reported to Schneider Electric in writing with within five (5) business days of Training completion.
  • The submission of a complaint does not release the Customer from any payment obligations.
  • All matters arising out of or relating to the execution, construction, interpretation or breach of this Agreement, are to be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the applicable Schneider Electric entity is located, excluding such jurisdiction’s rules regarding conflicts of laws and the provisions of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
  • NOT WITH STANDING ANY PROVISION OF AGREEMENT OR ANY OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENT TO THE CONTRARY, IN NO EVENT SHALL EITHER PARTY, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AFFILIATES OR EMPLOYEES BE LIABLE FOR ANY FORM OF INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF PRODUCTION, LOSS OF PRODUCT, LOSS OF REVENUE, PROFITS OR LOSS OF DATA DAMAGES WHETHER SUCH DAMAGES ARISE IN CONTRACT OR TORT, IRRESPECTIVE OF FAULT, NEGLIGENCE OR STRICT LIABILITY OR WHETHER SUCH PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED IN ADVANCE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF THIS AGREEMENT OR ANY OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENT TO THE CONTRARY, AND TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE MAXIMUM LIABILITY OF SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC FOR DAMAGES HEREUNDER SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS ACTUALLY PAID BY THE CUSTOMER TO SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC FOR THE TRAINING GIVING RISE TO A CLAIM.

This section includes specific conditions applicable to the learning delivery type E-Learning or Web-Based Training (WBT). which take precedence over general conditions.

To register Participants to Schneider Electric ISA WBT courses, the Customer must provide the following:

  • Fully completed Participant Registration form with valid corporate email address. Any free email service addresses are not accepted.
  • Course titles purchased for the Participant
  • Valid Purchase Order, Credit Card payment, or similar

  • Schneider Electric ISA will email registration instructions to the corporate Participant email provided at registration. Each Participant will need to register themselves online and generate login credentials that consist of a username and password to access to the Process Automation Learning Management System (LMS).
  • To access purchased WBT courses on Schneider Electric ISA LMS, Participants must have the following:
    • Valid access credentials generated online on the Schneider Electric ISA LMS.
    • Internet browser, preferably GoogleĀ® ChromeĀ® or MicrosoftĀ® Internet Explorer
    • High-speed internet connection
  • All WBT course materials are fully digital and only provided online through Schneider Electric ISA LMS. No printed materials will be supplied by Schneider Electric ISA.
  • Participants must pass the post-course assessment for each WBT course to achieve a ā€œCompletedā€ status.
  • Training completion certificates are only provided in digital form and can be downloaded and saved from Schneider Electric ISA LMS by Participants for each course after the Completed status is achieved. Schneider Electric ISA will not send any printed certificates unless specifically mentioned in the proposal or otherwise agreed to in writing by Schneider Electric ISA.

Only 1 Participant can use a WBT course. Sharing of access credentials with unregistered participants will constitute a breach of Schneider Electric Intellectual Property Rights.

  • Training will be deemed as delivered and completed as soon as access credentials have been generated by the Participants.
  • The full cost of WBT courses will be due as soon as the access credentials have been generated by the Participants.
  • No cancellation is possible once access credentials have been generated on the Schneider Electric ISA LMS by the Participants. The Customer is liable to pay Schneider Electric in full once access credentials for Web-Based Training courses have been created for Participants.

Schneider Electric ISA offers technical support for course registration, course access, and Schneider Electric ISA LMS access issues. This technical support is only available through the email address isacademy@se.com.

The Customer is responsible for resolving IT issues related to Participant computers or environments. The Customer is responsible for ensuring email communication from Schneider Electric is not blocked by spam filters or other cybersecurity policies.

This section includes specific conditions applicable to the learning delivery type Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT). which take precedence over general conditions.

To register Participants to Schneider Electric ISA VILT courses, the Customer must provide the following:

  • Fully completed Participant Registration form with valid corporate email address. Any free email service addresses are not accepted
  • Course titles purchased for the Participant
  • Requested Training dates
  • Valid Purchase Order, Credit Card payment, or similar

  • Schneider Electric ISA will email registration instructions to the corporate Participant email provided at registration. Each Participant will need to register themselves online and generate login credentials that consist of a username and password to access to the Process Automation Learning Management System (LMS).
  • To access purchased VILT courses on Schneider Electric ISA LMS, Participants must have the following:
    • Valid access credentials generated online on the Schneider Electric ISA LMS.
    • Internet browser, preferably GoogleĀ® ChromeĀ® or MicrosoftĀ® Internet Explorer
    • High-speed internet connection
    • VOIP-compatible headset or a landline for dialing in (toll or toll-free) to VILT sessions
  • Unless specific dates have been requested and confirmed by Schneider Electric ISA, Participants need to identify a suitable session, as per their time-zone, and self-register to the VILT session.
  • The registration window closes 72 hours before the start of a class and Participants cannot register for a VILT session if it starts in less than 72 hours.
  • If a session is full, Participants have the option to be wait-listed or select an alternative class. If wait-listed, when a registered Participant withdraws from a session, the first Participant on the wait-list has 24 hours to register for the session. After 24 hours, the next Participant on the wait-list receives the opportunity to register.
  • Participants receive automatic email triggers from Schneider Electric ISA LMS for the following:
    • Confirmation of class registration
    • Pre-course work reminders
    • Session attendance reminders
    • Wait-list reminders
    • Completion of course feedback surveys after class
  • All VILT course materials are fully digital and only provided online through Schneider Electric ISA LMS. No printed materials will be supplied by Schneider Electric ISA.
  • Learning Cloud access and setup instructions are provided up to 48 hours of a Process Automation Learning Cloud access request
  • To achieve a ā€œCompletedā€ status for a VILT course, Participants must:
    • Complete pre-course work.
    • Attend all sessions that comprise a class.
    • Complete post-session work.
    • Complete post-course work.
    • Pass the final assessment.
    • Complete the course feedback survey, as required by Schneider Electric ISA LMS.
  • Training completion certificates are only provided in digital form and can be downloaded and saved from Schneider Electric ISA LMS by Participants for each course after the Completed status is achieved. Schneider Electric ISA will not send any printed certificates unless specifically mentioned in the proposal or otherwise agreed to in writing by Schneider Electric ISA.

The minimum number of Participants for a single VILT class is 4, with a maximum number of 6, unless specifically mentioned in the proposal or otherwise agreed to in writing by Schneider Electric ISA.

  • Training will be deemed as delivered and completed when all scheduled sessions for a course have been conducted. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure registered Participants attend all scheduled VILT sessions, once accepted into a class, and achieve the Completed status for the course.
  • The full cost of VILT courses will be due as soon as the access credentials have been generated by the Participants.
  • No cancellation is possible once access credentials have been generated on the Schneider Electric ISA LMS by the Participants. The Customer is liable to pay Schneider Electric in full once access credentials for VILT courses have been created for Participants.
  • Schneider Electric ISA may reschedule a VILT class up to 48 hours before the beginning of a session, if the minimum participant limit is not met. In the unforeseen event that Schneider Electric ISA reschedules a VILT class, Schneider Electric ISA will work with the Customer and help Participants identify a future VILT class.

Schneider Electric ISA offers technical support for course registration, course access, and Schneider Electric ISA LMS access issues. Schneider Electric ISA LMS access issues, and class access on the VILT tools. This technical support is only available through the email address isacademy@se.com.

Support for the conferencing tool used during sessions, MicrosoftĀ® Teams, is available from Moderators during sessions and queries before or after sessions sent to the address above.

The Customer is responsible for resolving IT issues related to participant environments. The Customer is responsible for ensuring email communication from Schneider Electric is not blocked by spam filters or other cyber security policies.

This section includes specific conditions applicable to the learning delivery type Classroom Training. which take precedence over general conditions.

To register Participants to a Schneider Electric ISA Classroom Training course (Instructor-Led Training or ILT), the Customer must provide the following:

  • Fully completed Participant Registration form with valid corporate email addressss. Any free email service addresses are not accepted.
  • Course titles purchased for the Participant
  • Requested Training dates
  • Valid Purchase Order, Credit Card payment, or similar

  • Participants need to complete the Participant Registration Form to access ILT courses.
  • Schneider Electric ISA will email registration instructions to the corporate Participant email provided at registration. Each Participant will need to register themselves online and generate login credentials that consist of a username and password to access to the Process Automation Learning Management System (LMS).
  • To access purchased ILT courses on Schneider Electric ISA LMS, participants must have the following:
    • Valid access credentials generated online on the Schneider Electric ISA LMS.
    • Internet browser, preferably GoogleĀ® ChromeĀ® or MicrosoftĀ® Internet Explorer
    • High-speed internet connection
  • All ILT course materials are provided in digital format and available online through Schneider Electric ISA LMS, unless specifically requested by the Customer and mentioned in the proposal or otherwise agreed to in writing by Schneider Electric ISA.
  • Participants need internet access to access course materials and it is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure internet access for Participants and Trainers, when Training is not being conducted at Schneider Electric facilities.
  • Unless specified otherwise in the proposal, Schneider Electric ISA will provide necessary technical equipment for Training on a sharing basis; that is, at least 2 Participants sharing 1 set of hardware.
  • When Training is being conducted at Schneider Electric facilities, Schneider Electric ISA will provide suitable Training infrastructure to conduct the Training, including LCD projector, whiteboard, flip charts, power supply and sufficient sockets, internet connection, meals, and refreshments. Schneider Electric ISA will facilitate access to the Training facility, including organizing Gate Passes or permissions for materials and for Participants. All of the above are the responsibility of the Customer when Training is not being conducted at Schneider Electric facilities.
  • When Training is not being conducted at Schneider Electric facilities, the customer will arrange for Trainer access to the Training facilities at least 1 day before the Training start date to allow the Trainer time to set up technical equipment. The Customer is responsible for the safe and timely departure of the technical equipment after the course concludes.
  • Schneider Electric ISA will organize travel, boarding, and lodging for the ILT Trainers, as per the Schneider Electric travel and security policies, unless specified in the proposal. Similarly, for all Participants, the Customer is responsible for the organization of all travel, boarding, and lodging, Participant expenses, and any Participant compliance with the Customer’s policies.
  • To achieve a ā€œCompletedā€ status for an ILT course, Participants must:
    • Attend all sessions that comprise a class.
    • Complete all post-session work.
    • Pass the final assessment.
    • Complete the course feedback survey, as required by Schneider Electric ISA LMS.
  • Training completion certificates are provided only in printed form by Schneider Electric ISA for each course after the Completed status is achieved by the Participant.

The minimum number of Participants for a single ILT course is 6, with a maximum of 8 unless specifically mentioned in the proposal or otherwise agreed to in writing by Schneider Electric ISA.

  • Training will be deemed as delivered and completed when all scheduled sessions of a class have been conducted. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure registered Participants attend all scheduled sessions, once accepted into a class.
  • The full cost of ILT courses will be due as soon as the access credentials have been generated by the Participants.
  • No cancellation is possible once access credentials have been generated on the Schneider Electric ISA LMS by the Participants. The Customer is liable to pay Schneider Electric in full once access credentials for ILT courses have been created for Participants.
  • Schneider Electric ISA may reschedule or cancel an ILT class up to 48 hours before the beginning of a session, if the minimum participant limit is not met. In the unforeseen event that Schneider Electric ISA reschedules an ILT class, Schneider Electric ISA will work with the Customer and help Participants identify a future ILT class.

Schneider Electric ISA offers technical support for course registration, course access, and Schneider Electric ISA LMS access issues. This technical support is only available through the email address isacademy@se.com.
