Job Description

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $89,600 - $134,400 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

 

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric also offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees, inclusive of medical (with member reward points), dental, vision, and basic life insurance, Benefit Bucks (credits to apply towards your benefits) flexible work arrangements, paid family leaves, 401(k) + match, well-being and recognition (including service anniversary) programs, 12 holidays per year, 15 days of paid time off per year (pro-rated in the first year of employment based on start date), opportunity to purchase company stock (eligibility depends on start date), and military leave benefits.

Schneider Electric is looking to hire a Business Development Manager who will identify new opportunities to grow our motion and robotics portfolio for the Eastern Region. In this role you will grow target accounts across end user, OEM and system integrator market segments. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilize distributor lists, Schneider Electric Sales Teams referrals, trade shows, industry events, marketing leads, industry directories, and previous position knowledge to discover new customer conversion accounts.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the application of Schneider motion and robotic portfolio.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for specific market segments, including researching trends, educating others, and providing input to product marketing.
  • Demonstrate "hunting" development experience and proven business relationships in the end user, system integrator, OEM community and segment customers.
  • Maintain a working list of prospects, qualify prospects through research, create a sub-list of target & active conversion accounts, and engage in face-to-face or virtual selling touches.
  • Introduce local sales early in the process and develop commercial strategy, including pricing approach and prototyping plan.
  • Work in conjunction with Solutions Architects to develop comprehensive automation and software solutions for end user, system integrator and OEM customers.
  • Provide segment expertise across core focus segments.
  • At least 5 years selling Industrial Automation solutions or high-performance motion and robotics applications.
  • Strong business acumen to drive segment business development to targeted OEMs, end users and System Integrators.
  • Understanding of the complete value chain from end users, system integrators, to OEMs.
  • Strong attitude for ‘hunting’ and identifying/acquiring new end user, system integrators and OEM customers.
  • Experience in developing comprehensive automation and software solutions for end user, system integrators and OEM customers.
