Job Description

 

The Privacy Engineering team within Digital Certification, a Cybersecurity and Privacy implementation organization hosted by Schneider Digital, supports Product Development teams to meet internal and external personal data protection requirements.

 

The team is looking for a Privacy Engineer that is enthusiastic about data protection and privacy to help ensuring privacy compliance for our Offers to customers and associated processes globally. You will enjoy a great team, excellent compensation, and challenging cases.

 

Your role :

 

This role will work closely with the Cybersecurity, Product security and Data Protection teams. The Privacy Engineer will be working in collaboration with other product cybersecurity and privacy professionals, offers development team and offer managers, legal teams, and R&D engineering teams across main three business units which are Energy Management, Industrial Automation and Innovation.

 

Your main missions :

 

The Privacy Engineer will work with product development teams to ensure that offers, systems, app services addressed to our customers meet personal data protection and privacy regulatory requirements by performing Privacy reviews and Data Protection Impact assessments (under European and other regulatory requirements).

  • Review offers, systems, app services to identify risks, provide mitigating actions, and ensure compliance. This includes:
    • Performing privacy compliance reviews and presenting them to relevant stakeholders
    • Performing risk assessments to evaluate the privacy risks for our customers and the company
    • Drafting recommendations with respect to personal data processing, data minimization, transparency, data retention, cookies, etc.
    • Verifying the implementation of Privacy by Design requirements
    • Advising on effective solutions for enabling privacy and data protection by design and by default capabilities.
  • Work with the CISO and Product security teams to develop processes, templates, training and awareness materials for R&D teams to spur awareness & discipline
  • Constantly embed privacy requirement in the design phase through Secure Development Lifecycle framework  
  • Work with the CISO and Product security teams to improve the process of review and the tool used, identifying use cases and areas for improvement and automation of the privacy reviews
  • Research and analyze legal or regulatory requirements (including incoming privacy laws worldwide) to translate privacy rules and policies into actionable engineering requirements

 

 

Your profile :

 

  • 4 years minimum of experience in the privacy field, including previous performance of privacy reviews
  • Law Degree desirable, although we will evaluate candidates with a different background.
  • Good knowledge of IT and understanding of the technical requirements related to Privacy by Design
  • Privacy and Information Security certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CIPP, CIPM) and knowledge of applicable privacy regulations and frameworks (e.g. GDPR, CCPA, NIST CSF) desirable
  • Relevant education or external accreditation in the areas of data protection, cybersecurity, audit, quality or risk management would be a plus.
  • Strong communication (incl. in a technical manner) and collaboration skills are required
  • Ability to handle complex information, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organizational skills are required
  • English fluent is required
