Job Description
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $22.00 - $27.00 per hour for undergrad students and $28.50-$34.00 for masters. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and recognition programs.
The compensation rate for this position is for candidates located within the United States. Individual pay is determined by several factors including knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

SE Ventures, a $1B+ venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, is looking for an exceptional marketing intern to join our fast-paced collaborative team. We invest in Climate Tech and Industrial Tech startups globally, and are backed by the World’s Most Sustainable Company, Schneider Electric.
Reporting directly to our Head of Marketing & Community, you will gain hands-on experience in all things venture marketing and community-building – from social media, content creation, branding, PR, events, executive comms, and more. This is a career-elevating opportunity with a lot of executive visibility and interaction. Our interns are crucial contributors to high-level strategy and the day-to-day success of marketing projects.
This internship will be part-time (17 hrs/week), starting in January 2025 with the option of a 6-month or 12-month program. During the summer months (June-August) the internship can be full-time (40 hrs/week), and there is a potential for full-time employment after the program ends if it’s the right long-term fit for both. You will work in-person from our Menlo Park office on Sand Hill Road at least 2x per week, and remotely the rest of the week. Working hours will fall between 8am-4pm M-F, but your schedule can be customized based on your university class schedule.
Responsibilities may include:
• Supporting Head of Marketing & Community on all moving projects
• Collaborating with Investment team to create regular blog content
• Sharing & engaging on LinkedIn to grow SE Ventures digital brand
• Tracking exciting updates from SE Ventures’ portfolio of 35+ startups
• Analyzing performance metrics for measuring & reporting on success
• Contributing to the strategy & execution of high-impact community events
Key Qualifications for Thriving:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communication, Project Management, Business, or related field.
Passion for marketing, technology, community-building, and sustainability, and a familiarity or interest in venture capital and startups
• Outstanding written skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into succinct easy-to-read stories
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in AI prompting, Microsoft Office suite, LinkedIn and familiarity with marketing tools is a plus.
• Ability to thrive independently and in a team and excel in a fast-paced environment
• Confidence and professionalism when interacting with executive leadership
• Big bonus but not required: proficiency in graphic design & Adobe design suite
