Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Senior Program Manager, Renewable Energy Investments in our Boulder, Colorado location with an option for remote work. Schneider Electric’s Cleantech Group is seeking a highly talented and passionate individual to join our exceptional team.
About the role:
We are seeking a highly talented and passionate Senior Program Manager- Renewable Energy Investments to help drive the growth of our Tax Equity Investments service, with a focus on strategic advisory and financial modeling in the renewable energy strategy and voluntary carbon market advisory space.

You will serve as a subject matter expert around tax equity financial modeling and risk analysis with both clients and project developers. You will work directly with our most important clients and ensure engagements exceed clients’ expectations and enhance our reputation in the market. You will also support other day-to-day projects and activities within the Tax Equity Investments offer, such as content creation, client and developer meeting preparation, program organization and management, internal team education, and more.
This is a full-time position for qualified candidates who can work from Boulder, Colorado or a remote home office within the United States, with a willingness to travel periodically for team meetings and training.
This role has four core functions:
- Financial modeling of tax equity investments
- Create and manage development of project financial models analyzing the economics and risks associated with solar, storage, and other emerging technologies
- Monitor and model various financial structures (project finance debt, equity, PTC/ITC, grants and other incentives, depreciation benefits, lease financing, tax equity investments, etc.).
- Diligence, risk analysis and underwriting
- Review and analyze 3rd party and developer-supplied reports and financial models and be able to identify and address underwriting cash flow, accounting, and tax risks.
- Direct high-level engagement with Fortune 500 clients
- Create and present investment memos to leadership within Schneider and for our clients
- Act as a consulting subject matter expert across our areas of expertise
- Demonstrate executive presence, confidence and consultative selling skills in partnership with Business Development teams in order to effectively develop new business
- Play active role in operational excellence and growth of our Cleantech, Renewables, and Sustainability advisory practice
- Manage strategy and analytics to deliver all aspects of project delivery for multiple projects; including scope, schedule, budget and client engagement
- Support the design, development, standardization and presentation of materials, processes, and systems to implement successful Tax Equity Services for Clients
- Create standard sales materials, templates, proposals, pricing tools, and any other necessary system to accelerate the sales team’s ability to scale Tax Equity Services
- Work with Business Development and Client Management teams to ensure efficient communications and provide excellent customer satisfaction throughout the client engagement
- Form excellent working relationships with various departments in the U.S. and globally, including Operations, Delivery, Operational Services, and other Schneider Cleantech teams

This job might be for you if you have the following:
- At least 5 years of direct work experience with renewable energy development or similar industry experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or consulting
- Significant renewable energy tax equity finance experience (ITC, PTC, various structures), either on the buy side or the sell side, and knowledge of renewable energy project economics
- Advanced knowledge of financial modeling techniques and analysis of proforma financial statements
- Significant experience, proficiency and passion for developing and preparing financial models specifically for renewable energy tax equity projects
- Familiarity with transaction-based workstreams such as debt or tax equity financing, M&A, etc
- Master’s Degree in Finance or a related technical field (preferred)
- Demonstrated talent in synthesizing data and complex concepts into informed recommendations and concise presentations
- High degree of familiarity with utilizing project finance models to underwrite debt and/or tax equity financing
- Deep understanding of tax equity documentation (i.e. LLCAs, ECCAs, and MIPAs) and customary investor reporting requirements.
- Strong aptitude for learning new and different topics
- Creativity and ability to formulate and implement service and deliverable enhancements
- High commitment to company vision, values, and excellent customer service with high quality work product
- Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to work on multiple projects in diverse areas
- Excellent organizational and task management skills and processing capacity
- Ability to operate autonomously (but with guidance) in a dynamic and transformational environment, with the skills to utilize and leverage existing tools such as Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe
- Demonstrated experience with the sales process for professional sustainability or renewable energy services to industrial and/or commercial clients; experience and knowledge from working within the renewable energy, voluntary carbon markets, sustainability or environmental industry is required
- Persistence and proactive follow up of tasks and projects throughout the sales cycle
- Experience in interfacing with and presenting to management levels at Fortune 500 companies

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $110,000 - $160,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
