SCADALAB (SCADA laboratory and test bed as a service for critical infrastructure protection) focused on safeguarding critical infrastructures in EU member states, covering numerous sectors, including transport, energy, information and communication technology (ICT), chemical, financial, water, food, health, space research, and nuclear.
SCADALAB proposed clear targets to keep critical infrastructures secure. A living SCADA lab was set up to:
- Test, develop, and research SCADA technologies that prevent, detect, and mitigate cyber attacks.
- Remedy the insufficient security measures for protecting information and communication systems (ICS).
- Design a common test bed for assessing ICS security.
SCADALAB (HOME/2011/CIPS/AG/4000002012) is a European project financed by the "Prevention, Preparedness, and Consequence Management of Terrorism and other Security-related Risks” program of the European Commission.
